Being short sometimes is a disadvantage….

Standard

Have you ever traded vehicles with your kids or spouse for a few days and changed key chains or given them part of the keys and kept part of the keys. Yeah… that happens around here alot! Just so happens we had this happen this week. My keys were still on 2 separate key chains today when I went to work. One set had the Tahoe key on it and the other set had all the other keys on it.  When I left for school this morning I had the Tahoe key… ONLY.  So when finally get home I figure out I am locked out of the house. After walking around the house twice trying every door and window a couple of times I decided I would just hang around on the porch until Sonny got home. After talking to him I find out he had just left Muskogee and would not be home for 2 hours….. uggggg…. I was gonna get chilly sitting on the porch that long. So I go into the garage and get the biggest ladder we have and decide I was going to try to get into an upstairs window. (I thought one of the upstairs windows might be unlocked because the kids had climbed out a window onto the porch roof while putting up the Christmas lights.) After getting the ladder in place I realized I just might not be tall enough to actually get on the roof… so after looking at it a few minutes I sent Sonny and the kiddos a picture of the ladder and asked if they thought I could do it. THEY HAD NOOO CONFIDENCE IN ME WHATSOEVER !!! After getting the picture text that I had sent, Sonny immediately calls our neighbor Michael and has him run to the house to help me. From the looks of it I think he told Michael to HURRY !!! Long story short… the ladder was also to short for Michael. He went and got his ladder, crawled onto the porch roof and found an open window! I wish I had my phone ready when he actually got into the window because he fell in and all that was sticking out the window was his feet… it was a funny sight!!! THANKS MICHAEL… we owe ya !

Now… to all you gypsies, tramps and thieves….

all our windows upstairs are now locked.

So don’t be getting any crazy ideas. Sure hope I remember to get all my keys as I leave in the morning!
